IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024 primarily includes three condition set by the IBPS and has described them in IBPS PO notification 2024. Reservation for EWS and PWD Candidates

For the IBPS PO Exam, there is a reservation policy for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories.

EWS Category:

  • Candidates who fall under the EWS category and have an annual income of less than Rs 8 lakhs are eligible for a 10% reservation in the vacancies disclosed by IBPS participating banks.
  • However, candidates who own specific assets, such as residential plots or apartments, agricultural land, etc., as mentioned in the official notification, will not be eligible for the EWS category.

PWD Category

  • Persons with benchmark disabilities, as specified by the government of India’s “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016,” are eligible for reservation.
  • The categories of disabilities eligible for reservation are deaf and hard of hearing, blindness and low vision, intellectual disability, autism, mental illness, specific learning disability, and locomotor disability.

IBPS PO Percentage Calculation

  • Calculation of Percentage: The percentage marks shall be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100.
  • This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only.
  • The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 64.99% will be treated as less than 65%.
